Water collection grates are rectangular or square structures, usually made of resistant materials such as metal or plastic. They are characterized by a series of horizontal and vertical bars, spaced evenly apart, forming an open grid. This configuration allows water to flow through the grate, while retaining debris such as leaves, branches or solid waste. Water catch grates are commonly used to prevent debris build-up and ensure proper stormwater management, thus helping to prevent blockage of drainage systems and the formation of flooding.
